GETTING STUFF DONE
From Westacre Park to Heritage Oaks Park (re-opening in October!) to Washington Park to Bryte Park, we've invested heavily in outdoor space for our families to gather and play.
Working with West Sacramento Firefighters and Police, we passed Measure O to keep pace with the growth of our city, funding our first full-time 10-person road maintenance crew, improved public safety (11 new firefighters, 17 new police officers, faster response times, updated equipment), park maintenance, and homelessness services.
We've completed several new housing projects and continue our Homeless Emergency Housing Program, using motels as interim housing to stabilize 120+ individuals at a time with support services.
We’re also focused on long-term economic development: the Small Business Accelerator Program (which includes $1M+ in grants), started the Tourism Improvement District, and began our city marketing campaign celebrating West Sac’s role as a home for professional sports.
We’re investing in infrastructure too, completing the State Streets Rehabilitation Project and the Sycamore Trail Overcrossing, and are now adding 21 miles of new sidewalk in the neighborhoods that need it most.
Our Home Run Program keeps preparing youth for success in school and life, and breaking ground this year, Club Pheasant will begin its new life as a community food and dining destination.
And we're building community through events like National Night Out, Food Truck Mania, Juneteenth, Rhythm on the River, and countless activities at our Recreation Center.
That's a lot—and there's still more to do.
